This is a Tungsten Carbide point which is to retrofit a Gregiore Besson Discordon machine. It is made primarily from cast steel but also has Tungsten Carbide.
Aswell as providing better economics from its increased life, the Tungsten Carbide tile sharpens with wear providing a cutting action, decreasing draft / fuel, while at the same time reducing smearing and compaction.
