This is a Tungsten carbide scraper to retrofit a Kuhn machine. It is made from heat treated chromium boron steel with Tungsten Carbide on the leading edge. The Tungsten Carbide gives a life 6 - 10 times that of a ordinary steel scraper. TheTungsten Carbide self sharpens to provide a cutting action, reducing the amount of friction on the roller.
